JENNY BAREILLES
Jennifer gave up her rent controlled apartment in 2012 to move to the Big Apple where she fell in love with improv and studied with the Upright Citizens Brigade, The People's Improv Theater and The Annoyance Theater. She currently teaches improv, acting and writing courses at the PIT and in Barcelona each summer (largely for the jamon), and she performs regularly with shows like Kevin & Jenny, Meanwhile, The Awakening and Awkward Family Dinner. She has also performed at such famed New York theaters as Playwrights Horizons, The American Theater of Actors, The Connelly and June Havoc to name a few and at Under St. Marks where she sat on a toilet for 90 minutes of direct address. When not performing she is watching videos of babies tasting lemons...because Instagram thinks she has a baby.

ANDY FITCH
Andy is a comedian, actor, writer, and artist from Buffalo, NY. You can see him perform at the Armory with the improv team Battle Scrabble, and the new sketch team, Road House. He’s one half of the comedic duo Double Prizes and has studied at The Second City Conservatory and UCB. A trusted friend once told him that dogs love him because he has big “dog energy”, and it’s the greatest compliment he’s ever received. @tomhanksgiving

DAVID JOHNSON
David is an improviser from Centreville, Virginia who currently lives in Queens. He begun honing his skills at the Rocky Run Middle School Theater Sports Club and hasn't really stopped improvising since. David was a proud member of the Whethermen at the University of Virginia, and he credits them with truly igniting his passion for comedy. Since moving to New York, David has had the pleasure of learning from greats such as Elana Fishbein, Louis Kornfeld, Rachel Hamilton, and Sebastian Connelli to name a few. When not at the Magnet, David is most likely in his apartment playing video games with his cat Hestia. He will probably coach your indie team if he's free that evening.

HANNAH SINGLE
Hannah Single is a performer from the suburbs of Atlanta, GA! She fell in love with improv in 2016 when she moved to NYC and began taking classes at the Magnet Theater, of which she is a huge fan. Hannah feels incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to work with some amazing wonderful talented teachers and to have met some freaking awesome humans at this establishment. Some things she LOVES (in case you’re wondering!!) – cats, ice cream, watching Smart Cars parallel park, McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish, and that emoji that looks sly. Her name is a palindrome.

CHRIS BOUKNIGHT
Chris Bouknight doesn't always have sand on her nose but sometimes when she visits home in South Carolina, her adorable niece kicks it in her face. When not being bullied by children, she enjoys travel, roadside attractions, ABBA, and a good theme party. In 2017 she took her first Magnet Theater class and it has been a love affair ever since. In addition to Magnet Megawatt's Mr. Bear, you can see her with The Cast on Saturdays at the Magnet, or catch her with her Armory team, Pyramid Scheme and Harry Potter themed team, Heirs of Hogwarts.

IVY HONG
You can find Ivy improvising with her team, Macbeth, on Magnet Megawatt every Wednesday. You can also find Ivy at Livewire, Magnet's monthly sketch show, with her team, Money & Things, both of which number among her favorite things.
The three things Ivy would take to a deserted island are the means and access to escape, but the desire for a tropical holiday. Ivy is a proud member of the Clean Plate Club and she would like to eat french fries all the time. She also loves chips, dogs wearing wigs, and comics about bears. Find her on Instagram: ivyoftheworld
Ivy loves to write bios. Ivy wishes she could make a living writing bios.

LUCIE KIRK
Lucie has been improvising for the better part of a decade, including bopping around Magnet since 2022. When she’s not on stage, she can often be found behind the bar or up in the tech booth, fishing for compliments on her playlists. Lucie would like to thank her supporters: Ohio, a little sweet treat, shoe glue and of course, the Coca-Cola Company.

JULIA MEINWALD
Julia worked out the need to mime pulling all improv objects from under her shirt with Just Add Water, honed her devotion to puns with Chicago City Limits, lived her dream of doing a show in formal attire with Glengary Gary Gary, and got her villainous limbs all tangled up in Magnet's Megawatt with Barbara and The Heel.  She would love to revive JD Salinger to ask him if he likes her. She also loves writing songs and fiction.

MICHAEL BURTON (DIRECTOR)
Mike has been improvising since 2009. He's studied at The Pit, UCB, and The Magnet, and counts Michael Gellman, Ptolemy Slocum, and Joe Bill as his most cage rattling influences. In 2013 he co-founded Maui Improv with Chicago improv pioneer Mark Beltzman, a community that is still putting up shows and welcoming teachers from all over the world. Mike spent many years as half of duo GCA, where he was able to perform 50 minute improvised plays with partner Allison Dembek. He's also been a part of The Scene, Actor's Worst Nightmare, Series Finale, A Good Old Fashioned Improv Show, and lots of other shows around NYC.
